I recently acquired a film camera body, Canon Elan 7e. It fits all my lenses, it's full frame and I love it. And the kicker is, it was only $50.
Lately I've found that I have been cranking up the ISO and using Photoshop to add grain (A.K.A. noise) to my digital pictures. A lot of the noise on the XTi sensor is pattern noise, not the best looking texture.
I also use the Alien Skin Exposure plugin. It has a lot of film like tone curves and grain and is great. But real film grain has a certain something that is hard to reproduce...
I figure if I use film for a while I will get better at emulating the look in my digital files.
