I caught a buzz from the speech last night
No question the man has talent, I wish he was into photography or music though .... that would be cool.
I just wonder how the American public we be talked into voting against their own interests again, and will it work in large enough numbers to make us forget the last 8 years.
I'm looking at the polls and seeing that the scary voice McCain adds seem to be working ... that is a shame. I'm going to make some joke scary voice adds, they see so silly to me.

“Stage” is a euphemism for “Corner of the bar where the band sets up”, most of the time.
I play blues/rock guitar and sing in a bar band in the San Francisco bay area. At each gig, 2 to 3 gigs a week, I take a few shots from my vantage point, next to my amps, behind my microphone or from the drum kit looking out into the wasteland otherwise known as the places I play ...

This is where I'm going
I think that a photograph is there to be made all the time ... it's just being open enough to see it.
I think I'm going to get my street photography on ... stranger portraits, that kind of thing. I'll miss the beach and the horses for sure, but I'm open to the new things on the horizon.

Classic Lines
I recently acquired a film camera body, Canon Elan 7e. It fits all my lenses, it's full frame and I love it. And the kicker is, it was only $50.
Lately I've found that I have been cranking up the ISO and using Photoshop to add grain (A.K.A. noise) to my digital pictures. A lot of the noise on the XTi sensor is pattern noise, not the best looking texture.
I also use the Alien Skin Exposure plugin. It has a lot of film like tone curves and grain and is great. But real film grain has a certain something that is hard to reproduce...
I figure if I use film for a while I will get better at emulating the look in my digital files.

Magnetic leaves
If you look at this large ... the leaves on the seat of the chair just pull you in, all the lines lead there. It's like a visual magnet.
