I photographed a model

I photographed a model, originally uploaded by dbwalker.

It was a strange experience.... in a studio, with lights, grids, spots, barn doors ... the whole nine yards. It was at a "model mixer", photographers and models in a pro studio. My first time.

Most setups were designed to fill every nook and cranny of the subject with massive amounts of light. I didnt have control over placement and strength of the strobes. Though, perhaps I could have worked with it some if I was more outgoing.

This shot was a misfire, only one light fired... I photoshoped the second light in to balance the frame.

Strobist: Catcus V2, and a random misfire of a studio strobe.

If I had it together I would have done a Obama pic today .... but I had to work, and was at the park for lunch with the family, and this is the best pic form yesterday. It is what it is.

Lust: If only I had X camera I could take cool pictures

Acquisition: You get it and take some shots and revel in the newness

Regret: You realize the limitations of the new camera and lament them.

Acceptance: Finally you realize that interesting people take interesting pictures of interesting things. The camera has little or nothing to do with it.
